Are you considering becoming a housing tutor?

At Newhouse Training Academy we also have a passion for developing housing professionals who would like to become part of the next generation of housing tutors and assessors.

We offer a 12 week 'Aspiring Housing Tutor' programme for those new to the training sector which includes the following:

• Achieve an accredited Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement which qualifies you to assess qualifications across the further education sector, including apprenticeships.

• Access to a dedicated mentor who is experienced in both the training and housing sector

• 6  X 2 hour masterclasses which will develop your understanding of a range of topics such as:

- The housing and property management qualifications available and how these are assessed

- The role of housing tutors and internal quality assurance

-  Understanding the principles and practices of assessment  (CAVA)

-  Assess occupational competence in the work environment (CAVA)

-  Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding (CAVA)

- Understanding AI in education

- Creating an inclusive learning environment

The live webinars are also recorded which gives you the freedom to view any time and download for future reference. The live sessions take place fortnightly on Mondays and we have two timeslots available which are 10am - 12pm and 6pm-8pm. 

Once completed, you will have the knowledge and qualification required to work in vocational settings such as assessing housing and property management apprenticeships, CIH qualifications and wider sector qualifications such as those offered by The Property Institute and Propertymark.
