Training and assessment qualifications

This qualification is ideal for those who want to deliver training in a range of settings such as:

• Learning and development in the workplace
• Apprenticeships
• Vocational courses and qualifications

There are 3 units that make up this qualification:

Unit 1 – Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training H/505/0053 GLH:12 

Unit 2 – Understanding assessment in education   and training R/505/0050 GLH:12

Unit 3 – Facilitate learning and development for individuals J/502/9549 GLH:25 

Units 1 and 2 are knowledge based and are assessed through written assignments. 

Unit 3 is assessed via a 20 minute microteach session where you will need to plan and deliver a session on a topic of your choice. This will be observed face to face by your tutor. 

Our courses are designed to be interactive and engaging, with quizzes, assignments, and discussions to enhance your learning experience. This course is delivered through blended learning which include one to one or group online coaching sessions, a range of online resources, as well as tutor guidance to support the practical elements of the program. 

Our instructors are experienced professionals in the teaching sector and can support you to apply your learning to real life settings.

Upon completing a course, you will receive an accredited qualification that you can use to showcase your skills and knowledge in training and delivery. Learners can progress to higher level qualifications such as the L4 Certificate in Education and Training, or the L5 Diploma in Teaching.

Learners typically complete the qualification within 3 - 6 months

This qualification is ideal for those who want to assess qualifications in a range of sectors such as:

• Apprenticeships
• Vocational courses and qualifications
• Further education

This qualification consists of 3 units:

 Unit 1 – Understanding the principles and practices of assessment D/601/5313 GLH:24 

 Unit 2 – Assess occupational competence in the work environment H/601/5314 GLH:30

 Unit 3 – Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding F/601/5319 GLH:30 

Unit 1 is knowledge based and is assessed through two written assignments. 

Unit 2 is practical and requires you to observe two learners competency in the workplace who are completing an accredited qualification. This will be observed by your tutor.

Unit 3 is practical and requires you to evidence assessment of two learners who are currently undertaking an accredited qualification in your subject specialism

Please note: Learners are not provided to complete the practical elements of your program, so it is expected that you would have access to a minimum of 2 learners in your role if you work within a training organisation or work environment.
